GEREKLİLİK : MUST,  HAVE TO , HAVE GOT TO

(a)     All students must wear uniforms.
(b)     All students have to wear uniforms.
(c)     I really must do something to redecorate this house.
(d)     We have to pay this bill within two weeks.
(e)     I must be at my desk by 10:00 every morning.

 
 “must” ve “ have to” gereklilik belirtmek için kullanılırlar. Her iki yapı da, karşıdaki kişiye bir başka seçenek sunmayıp, bahsedilen eylemin kesinlikle yapılması gerektiğini anlatırlar.

(f)       It is a fantastic movie. You really must see it.

(g)     Jim is really a very nice man. You must meet him.

“Must “ aynı zamanda birşeyi ısrarla tavsiye ederken kullanılır.

(h)     I have got to be at the office as soon as possible.

(i)       You have got to call your boss now.

“Have got to”, must “ ve  “have to” ile aynı anlama gelir.

(j)       I missed the bus this morning, so I had to take a taxi.

(k)     I had to spend all day in the meeting.

(l)       I have had to enter three exams since October.

 “must”,”have to” ve “have got to”  geçmiş zamanda HAD TO  ile ifade edilir.
